A New Era in Baton Rouge
This LSU squad may not be undefeated like the legendary 2019 team, but they found their rhythm when it mattered most. Despite regular season losses to Clemson and Oklahoma, the Tigers turned it on in the postseason, eliminating both squads on the road to glory.
Clemson proved to be the most consistent team all season and looked poised to win it all, led by Heisman Trophy winner Cade Klubnik. But LSU simply had the magic when it counted.
