Going into BUSINESS BEAST MODE

The magical season for the OKC Thunder continues with Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals today, and I'll be back in Oklahoma City on Monday, May 26th. This date is the night that the team plays Game 4 in Minnesota, and this will be my first time getting to participate in the tradition of welcoming the team home from the road trip, win or lose, at the OKC airport.

I am writing a book and making a companion documentary about the Thunder team and its importance to the community. I just got my official camcorder for this project and am excited to be able to use it from the moment I arrive -- I will have my husband help me practice with it this week, since I'm not the best with technology :)

I have my contingency tickets for Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals on May 28th and for every possible game after this, including Game 7 of the NBA Finals. I've got hotel blocks booked and will hopefully be there for 3-4 weeks so that I can cover the Championship Parade when they win the NBA title.

My goal with this project is to really capture the "small market magic" that is only possible in a place like Oklahoma City with only one major professional sports team. I want to talk to everyone from young fans to business owners to the higher-ups in the team organization. NOTE: since this is a self-funded project at present, you'll see me getting really busy with my affiliate links and product recommendations. I am working up to getting monetized on X (@KZA76_NBAstats) and am pleasantly surprised with how fast my following is growing, but it takes time to get up to the 5 million 3-month-rolling impressions requirement for the content-creator revenue sharing program.
